Al Qaeda leaders Tahir Yuldashev and Abdul Khaliq Haqqani released a video where they called for a jihad against the Pakistani military and the government. "Jihad is compulsory in Pakistan as it is compulsory in Afghanistan," said Yuldashev. Footage included the aftermath of the fighting in Mir Ali in North Waziristan in October 2007 and the execution of a Pakistani soldier.
