(3)Lashkar-e-Khorasan executes a 'US spy'
The Lashkar-e-Khorasan, the Taliban unit set up in the tribal agency of North Waziristan and assigned to sniffing out and hunting down suspected "US spies" who aid in the Predator campaign, appears to have murdered another victim. From Dawn:
Suspected militants killed an Afghan refugee in Pakistan's North Waziristan region in the northwest on suspicion of being a spy for the United States, local intelligence officials said.The bullet-riddled body of the man was found by the road in the Datta Kheil area on Tuesday night.
An ATM card from an Afghan bank and a hand-written note, stating that he was caught spying for the United States, were found beside the body.

From what I gather from Internet sources -- the CIA doesn't hardly need any ground pounders to detect European jihadis.
The opfor paranoia at this time is pegged at eleven on a scale of one to ten.
So one must assume that anyone not part of their gang is in peril.
Meaning, that they're creating the perfect conditions for a free-fire zone: rather like the climatic scene in the Wild Bunch. They do not tolerate innocents.

The other thing: Opfor's base is not exactly Beijing -- and their 'road system' is crude.
With the CIA having a God's Eye point of view -- it's got to be like playing poker with all of your cards in sight.

More likely he had a dispute with someone and they took revenge on him using jihad as an excuse for murder.
