Twin explosions carried out by two suicide bombers on motorcycles at a market and a taxi stand in Parachinar, the capital of Kurram tribal agency, killed at least 48 people and wounded 200 more. A spokesman claimed the attack for Ansarul Mujahideen, and warned of more attacks on the Shia community. Two people were killed by a land mine in Kurram. The bodies of 20 suspected militants killed last week were found in Khyber.
