hammamiauto560.jpg

A picture of Omar Hammami, the American Islamist and member of Shabaab, has surfaced on the Internet. Via the SITE Intelligence Group:

The individual behind the recent postings of material from Omar Hammami provided a picture of Hammami posing with a laptop computer on which the cover of his autobiography is displayed. The individual, a Somali jihadist calling himself "Abu Muhammad as-Somaali," posted a link to access the picture on his social networking accounts on May 23, 2012. Somaali had earlier posted the video in which Hammami AKA Abu Mansour al-Amriki stated that he feels his life may be endangered by the Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement, and also posted Hammami's autobiography, "The Story of an American Jihaadi, Part One." On his Twitter account, Somaali has been actively commenting and debating fellow users about the conflict in Somalia between AMISOM and the Shabaab, and other issues.
