Gadahn death rumors continue to surface

As US and Pakistani intelligence attempted to determine who else might have been killed in the Jan. 29 US airstrike in North Waziristan that took the life of al Qaeda commander Abu Laith al Libi, a new, unconfirmed report claimed Adam Gadahn, Laith’s American deputy, died in the strike, as did two Kuwaitis and four other terrorists. US intelligence officials do not believe Gadahn is dead, however.

Sources inside Pakistan told the Nine/Eleven Finding Answers Foundation that US traitor Adam Gadahn was killed, along with Abu Suhail, Laith’s former deputy; Hamza al Somali, who is presumably of Australian or US nationality; Abu Ubayda Tawari Rakhis al Mutairi, a Kuwaiti national; Abu Adil al Kuwaiti, another Kuwaiti; and at least three Uzbek nationals. “It should be noted that the death of the American Gadahn has not yet been officially confirmed,” the Nine/Eleven Finding Answers Foundation reported.

Adnkronos International said Feb. 5 that Abu Adil al Kuwaiti was reported killed in the North Waziristan airstrike, along with Abu Obeida Tawari al Obeidi, a Saudi.

Speculation about Gadahn’s death surfaced immediately after the airstrike, as Pakistani sources told US and Pakistani news agencies that Gadahn had not been seen or heard from since the strike. Gadahn was purportedly attending the meeting chaired by Laith, who was planning al Qaeda’s 2008 campaign in Afghanistan.

Senior US intelligence officials tell The Long War Journal that Gadahn is still alive. Al Qaeda has been quick to lionize the death of its leaders, for propaganda and recruiting reasons. Laith’s death was announced on a jihadi Internet forum within three days of the airstrike in North Waziristan. Al Qaeda has not announced Gadahn’s death.

Hard to plan a 2008 campaign if you’re dead. Good shooting by the agency and good intel gathering by somebody.

    Fantastic news! Good to hear!
I’m still curious about last week’s airstrike, though. Which Egyptian Al Qaeda leader was killed? The US doesn’t fire 3 missiles into Pakistan for nothing…AQ and the US have been silent about it.

I hope he didn’t die right away and felt screaming pain.

I am sure that Bin Laden will miss his little San Diego Jewish heavy metal rocker. How often does somebody like Abu Ameriki come along, anyway.

Hope they got him for sure. Adam’s eve of destruction you might say.

I hope he suffered for a LONG TIME before dying. There probably isn’t enough left of him to do a DNA test. Another cowardly Al Qaeda terrorists bites the dust! What a great year 2008 is getting to be for killing terrorists. Keep up the good work troops! KEEP KILLING TERRORISTS!!!

Looks like they’ve airbrushed out a spliff in this picture. That would explain a lot…

  • Pity we could only kill the bum once.

What a wasted life. I wonder if his proud parents have placed a photo of him wearing a turban on their mantle. It would have been better for him to have been captured and sent to ADX Florence, Colorado to spend the rest of his life in a concrete hole. Zacarias Moussaoui was full of bluster at his trial but I wonder how much he likes 23 hour lockup with no hope of release. Lots of time to think about his buddies in Pakistan, Afghanistan … etc.

It’s a waste of money to keep these lowlifes alive. They all say they want to die in battle but when the battle gets really intense they RUN LIKE THE COWARDS THEY ARE!!! Bin Laden has done this several times, Jaji in 87, and Tora Bora in 2001. If for some reason we do catch one alive and have to put them in jail the dungeon at Fort Leavenworth is a much better place. They should also have to listen endlessly to the screams of all the innocents they have murdered.
